Branches twisting and turning
Birdsong resonate through canopy
Spores catching gentle winds
Textures rippled through tree trunk
Gentle drip as leaves fall aground

The woodland series was inspired by my time spent walking and painting en plein air over the last year in woodlands and wild gardens in and around Sussex, and beyond. "Birdsong" is a reflection of my sensory experience as I sat there quietly and let myself be immersed in nature. This is part of my small collection for Artists Open Houses this year (May 2024).
